This September 27, join the Paranormal Seekers as they lead an exclusive late-night investigation of the Museum Village in Scugog. Known for its rich history and sometimes eerie atmosphere, this museum becomes even more intriguing when the sun goes down.
What to Expect at Museum After Dark
From 6:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., visitors will have the rare opportunity to explore the museum grounds under the cover of darkness, uncovering stories of the past and investigating potential paranormal activity. The Paranormal Seekers team, experts in the field of ghost hunting, will guide participants through a series of investigations designed to uncover the secrets hidden within the museum's walls.

Every Friday night from now until October 31, the Scugog Shores Museum Village invites you to take part in our popular Spooky Tours. This special guided experience offers a chance to explore the village after dark and hear some of the creepiest tales from Scugog’s past.
If you love ghost stories, local legends, or mysterious history, this is the perfect fall event for you!
A Tour Like No Other
During this after-hours walking tour, museum staff will lead you through the historic village by lantern light. As you visit old buildings and darkened paths, you’ll learn about the real-life stories that continue to give this area a haunted reputation.
You’ll hear about:
- True crimes that happened right here in the Scugog area
- Strange and unexplained events from the past
- Creepy urban legends passed down through the years
- And of course, ghost stories that might just be more truth than tale...
The museum is filled with stories — some you’ll find in history books, and others you’ll only hear during these tours.

What’s the Carnival of Chaos?
The carnival is in town—but something sinister is lurking behind the curtains. As you wander the museum grounds, you'll encounter an eccentric cast of carnival characters: mysterious magicians, cunning clowns, fortune tellers who might know too much, and maybe even a suspect or two hiding in plain sight.
Your mission? Solve the murder before time runs out.
This family-friendly mystery experience will take you through the historic buildings of the museum as you search for clues, question suspects, and piece together the puzzle.
